Free AI Image Upscaler
Increase your image's resolution using an on-device AI model. The model downloads once and runs entirely in your browser, so your photos never leave your device.
Uses an on-device AI super-resolution model (downloaded once and cached by your browser). Nothing is uploaded to any server.
How It Works
- Upload your image . Select any JPEG, PNG, or WebP photo from your device.
- Click Upscale with AI . The first click downloads a small AI model to your browser; after that it's cached for future use.
- Compare and download . View the original next to the AI-enhanced result, then download the upscaled PNG.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How does the AI upscaler work?
- It runs a super-resolution neural network directly in your browser (no server involved) that has learned to reconstruct plausible fine detail when enlarging an image, rather than just stretching pixels like a basic resize.
- Is there a size limit?
- Images larger than 800px on the longest side are automatically downscaled before upscaling. This keeps the in-browser model fast and prevents it from running out of memory in your tab. For very large source photos, crop to the area you care about first for the best result.
- Why did the first upscale take a while?
- The AI model (a few megabytes) downloads the first time you use the tool and is cached by your browser afterward. Subsequent upscales on the same visit are much faster.
- Do you store or upload my images?
- No. The entire process, including the AI model itself, runs locally in your browser. Your images are never sent to any server.
